Phyllis’s Banana Pudding Trifle

Ingredients:
1 6 oz vanilla pudding Cook n Serve
1 4 oz vanilla pudding Cook n Serve
1 box vanilla wafers
4 bananas, sliced
1/2 cup strawberries, halved

Combine pudding with milk according to directions on box and cook on medium heat. Cool pudding. When pudding is cool, layer vanilla wafers, bananas, and pudding in a trifle bowl. Continue until last layer. Then garnish with sliced bananas and halved strawberries. Chill and Serve. Enjoy!

1 cup of milk
1 cup of flour
1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
1 Egg
2 tablespoons of powdered sugar for making the batter and more for dusting
4 cups of vegetable oil
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon

This funnel cake recipe makes 4 large funnel cakes.
Heat oil to 375 degrees in a large skillet. While the oil is heating, beat the egg and milk together in one bowl and combine flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and powdered sugar in another bowl. Mix the wet and dry ingredients together until the batter is smooth.When the oil has reached 375 degrees, pour the batter into a funnel, holding your finger over the small opening. We did a practice run to make sure the batter was not too thick. We just removed a finger from the opening and poured the batter back into the bowl, making sure it poured out easily. Hold the funnel with the batter over the oil and make a circle with your hand repeatedly to form the cake. We noticed when we added the batter it cooled the oil somewhat and we needed to turn the heat up on the oil.

Fry until the bottom has turned golden brown and turn over and fry the other side.
When both sides are golden brown, remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
You’ll want to serve these warm with some powdered sugar dusted on top.

Grandma's Old-Fashioned Bread Pudding with Vanilla Sauce

• 4 cups (8 slices) cubed white bread
• 1/2 cup raisins
• 2 cups milk…
• 1/4 cup butter
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 2 eggs, slightly beaten
• 1 tablespoon vanilla
• 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Sauce Ingredients:
• 1/2 cup butter
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
• 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
• 1 tablespoon vanilla

Directions for Pudding:
Heat oven to 350°F. Combine bread and raisins in large bowl. Combine milk and 1/4 cup butter in 1-quart saucepan. Cook over medium heat until butter is melted (4 to 7 minutes). Pour milk mixture over bread; let stand 10 minutes.
Stir in all remaining pudding ingredients. Pour into greased 1 1/2-quart casserole. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes or until set in center.

Directions for Sauce:
Combine all sauce ingredients except vanilla in 1-quart saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until mixture thickens and comes to a full boil (5 to 8 minutes). Stir in vanilla.
To serve, spoon warm pudding into individual dessert dishes; serve with sauce. Store refrigerated -Fashioned Bread Pudding with Vanilla Sauce

Cream Cheese Mints Recipe ~ sweet, minty, and melt-in-your-mouth creamy!

Ingredients:
8 ounces soft cream cheese
6 tablespoons soft butter
3/4 teaspoon pure peppermint extract (NOT mint extract)
2 pounds sifted powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 drops red food coloring

Combine and push mint mixture into a pastry bag, icing syringe or squeeze bottle with a decorative tip. Create desired shapes for mints. Let set 1 hour.

Strawberry Angel Cake

Strawberry Angel Cake

This cake is amazing, and sooo creamy!! Great Valentines Cake!!

1 box Angel Food cake mix, prepared as directed on box, baked in a 9 by 13 pan (cooled)
1 8 oz pkg cream cheese, room temperature
1 can sweetened condensed milk
2 cups strawberries, cut in pieces
3 cups sweetened whipped cream ( cool whip)
Directions
Remove the insides of cake, as shown on step #1 leaving 1/4 inch on the sides and bottom.
Take the cake insides and place in a bowl. Add cream cheese, condensed milk and strawberries.
Blend well. Stir in 1 cup sweetened whipped cream.
Pour into cake shell as shown on step #2.
Step #3 Top with remaining cream and garnish with extra strawberries.
Let stand an hour before serving. Enjoy

BUTTERFINGER CHEESECAKE PIE

Super easy to make. This would be a great one to make for your next get together! Only 4 ingredients!!!!

Ingredients:
1 graham cracker pie crust (or chocolate)
8 oz cream cheese, softened
12 oz cool whip, thawed
7 (2.1 oz) Butterfinger candy bars, crushed

Directions:
Combine softened cream cheese, cool whip and 6 crushed Butterfingers. Spoon into prepared graham cracker crust. Top with remaining crushed Butterfinger. Chill at least 4 hours.

Ooey Gooey Yumness!

Oh my gosh!!!! How easy is this??? Pretty soon apple harvests will begin and apples will be inexpensive and in abundance in our stores… Buy organic if you can!

About 5 to 7 granny smith apples (or whatever you prefer), peeled, cored & thinly sliced
1 (9 ounce) package yellow cake mix
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1 stick real butter

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Cut apple slices crosswise in half.
3. Place in pan; sprinkle with dry cake mix.
4. In small bowl, combine sugar & cinnamon; sprinkle over cake mix.
5. Drizzle with butter.
6. Bake 30 minutes or until topping is golden brown.
7. Serve warm with ice cream, if desired!

FRESH APPLE CAKE

Layer your apple slices (or other fruit) at the bottom of a pan that has been coated with non-stick spray.
Sprinkle on boxed cake mix.
Pour melted butter over the fruit and dry cake mix.
Bake at 180/350* for approximately 35-45 minutes — it’s done when it is nice and bubbly. Enjoy!
